It’s been a while since my last post. So I thought I’d write a bit about what’s going on with us here in North Carolina. Although I am reading Eleonore Stump’s latest book, my time has been occupied with more mundane matters that are of significant importance.
During the last several days my wife and I have been running around with our hair on fire readying our home to sell for a move back to Colorado Springs. We're prayerfully hopeful that it will sell quickly — and for the price we need to make this move.
God has been so very good to us through the years and we trust "our Father in heaven" knows best and his timing will be perfect, despite how it rolls out (Proverbs 16:1-3 is ever on my mind).
Our time here in the Raleigh, NC, area has been wonderful and, in so many ways, renewing and inspiring. We are grateful for our neighbors, our church, and the relationships God has graciously orchestrated for us while here. One thing that strikes me about the bonding we share with those who have allowed us into their lives is that our relational distance is hardly diminished by a greater geographic distance. What a gift! And this gift became abundantly clear to us while visiting our long-time friends in Colorado Springs. We trust this will be no less true of our friends here in NC. Even though it has become a trite saying, I do believe we are 'better together.'
Needless to say, updates to my ‘Stack here will be sparse until (hopefully) all the dominoes have fallen in the same direction at the right time.
ONWARD!
